Allyson Rose Green died on September 15, 2006. She was an overachiever, and a talented young lady. Her suicide was a shock to her family, her friends, her field hockey and lacrosse teammates and her teachers.
The Foundation operates in Allyson's memory to assist in the identification of adolescents at risk for suicide, and to save lives one child at a time.
The Foundation is premised on the belief that, while it may not be the principal mission of secondary schools to ensure the health of students, the secondary school is where adolescents will be found, and where systematic assessment of suicide risk must occur.
